Chakras are energy centers at seven major points along the spine from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The root word for chakra is cakra which means "wheel" in Sanskrit. These wheels of energy are designed to remain open and free to keep our thoughts, emotions and body in alignment. When our chakras become blocked, we may feel stagnant, uninspired, unable to love, insecure and more. When our chakras are open, we may feel open, inspired, creative, loving and full of life. The 7 chakras are: root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown.
